Blind Cane / French Cane
Blind caning, also known as French caning, refers to a technique in which the holes of a hand-caned chair do not extend through the frame. Each cane strand is carefully cut to size, woven, and then secured with glue in its respective hole.
Double-sided caning involves caning both sides of the chair frame. Typically, double-caned surfaces are also blind-caned.
